Red Storm
Regime Guard:  1000 Years of War

ISBN #978-0-9824876-4-8

Since men first started recording words on the walls of caves and on parchment, the greatest stories handed down through the ages deal with the battle between good and evil. The first four volumes of Regime Guard: 1000 Years of War continue in that tradition with four separate, but interlinked stories of the fight for dominance of an entire galaxy. The stories are set approximately 300 years apart, and show the evolution and the rise and fall of the three primary societies as the eternal struggle to balance good and evil rages on.

Red Storm is the first volume of the series and in a unique twist to the norm it is not the adults who are the saviors of the forces of good, but rather a group of eight pre-teen children who are willing to give up their youth and their innocence to preserve the way of life of an entire galaxy.

One by one, these youngsters instantaneously morph from children into adults through the power of their god Elahim who represents the ultimate good. They are lead by Lena and Elana, twin sisters who were torn from one another at birth yet retained a psychic link.

They step forward to fight forces that range from the savage Stregori, to the mystic, Lucid, a minion of the evil god. They put their faith in ancient prophecies and become the Storm Guard. This initial war, which is fought both in space and on the planets of the galaxy between the Interrans, the Damanites, and Keyrie races, lays the groundwork for the sequels. As this manuscript ends in a spectacular battle, the Damanite race is decimated and the Zaeferi race survives to rebuild its civilization.

About the Authors

MJ Goodnow & Marie Pacha

It was by answering an advertisement for a co-author that Marie Pacha met MJ Goodnow in October, 2008 and the partnership began that gave birth to Red Storm and the rest of the books in the series.

The concept for Red Storm and the full series Regime Guard:1000 Years of War was developed by MJ Goodnow.  MJ lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife, Sandy, and their two children, Araya and Damien.

MJ, after attending Norwich Free Academy in Connecticut, continued his education by studying Theology and Anthropology.  He is a motivational mentor and an ordained minister.

When not writing or working MJ enjoys the martial arts, where he has attained a black belt in Aikido.  He also enjoys outdoor activities.

MJ's co-author, Marie Pacha, was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Iowa.  When the youngest of her three children headed off to college in 2007, Marie headed out too: finally settling on a mountain ridge in West Virginia where she spends her time writing and painting.

Marie's formal education was interrupted after graduation from high school as her children were growing.  It wasn't until 2006 that she received her first college degree: an Associate of Art from Kirkwood Community College.   During that period Marie focused on classes that had to do with writing to further the career she had set her sights upon.  She has had two previous books published in the genres of poetry and fantasy.  She has also had several ghostwriting contracts and written several essays that have been published.

In addition to Red Storm and the other books in that series, Marie is hoping, in the not too distant future, to see a book in print of her poems and a fantasy she has completed.

Recently one of Marie's poems, Crooked Halo, was recorded by a Canadian artist and is on his new CD.

Both MJ and Marie can be contacted through the Weaving Dreams Publishing Website at contact@weavingdreamspublishing.com.
